They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. There is truth in this statement. Many of us will look at a person’s eyes to gauge a person’s interest, mood and if he or she is telling the truth. Similarly, the eyes are the giveaways to a person’s age.
The eye skin is delicate and thin, and the first part of your body to show signs of aging. The skin around the eyes is superthin—in fact, it’s the thinnest skin on the face. Years of environmental damage and squinting can wear away the thickness of the skin, making the eyes look worn out. In some people, the skin of their eyes can resemble crepe paper, after accumulating years of damage and neglect.

“While genetics also play a role, patients with dry skin conditions such as eczema often have crepey skin around their eyes, even if they are younger, due to the chronic inflammation and dryness” explains Dr Low Chai Ling, founder of SW1 Clinic. Dr Low adds that extrinsic aging does play a huge role in how our eyes age— our lifestyle, lack of sleep, UV exposure and so on. Here are some ways to restore the youth in your eyes.
#1 Gentle Skincare

#2 Sunscreen

#3 Antioxidant enriched eye cream

#4 Muscle relaxant
Our eyes exhibit what we call ‘crow’s feet’ as a result of repetitive squinting action we make with age, be it from prolonged usage of our smartphone devices or from being out in the sun without shades. The good news is that these overactive muscles can be easily relaxed to their more restive state with a small dose of BOTOX anti-wrinkle injection. Gone are the days of over-botoxed faces. Nowadays, the new age BOTOX is natural and subtle, making you look younger with little tell-tale signs of a helping hand.
#5 Revitalift Eye
The eye area is where your skin thins out substantially and prematurely. Revitalift is a series of super fine microinjections to deliver micro-hyaluronic acid particles for the sole aim of thickening and plumping up the weakened, thinned peri-orbital skin. After a session, you should notice lessening of dark eye circles and smoothening of lines. After a series of sessions, deeper lines may start to disappear with results lasting up to a year.
